A Month of Thanksgiving: Day 1

Today is the first day of one of my favorite months- November. Here are a few reasons it's one of my favorites: football is in full swing and the infamous Egg Bowl is played (Hail State!), we celebrate  Thanksgiving- by spending time with family and eating way too much, it's the kick off of the Christmas season (ONLY after Thanskgiving Day!), and people tend to be in a more positive, giving spirit.

One of the trends on social media during November is to share something you're thankful for each day of the month. While I realize we should be thankful every day, I've decided I'm going to participate in this trend as well, so today is my first "thankful" post.

Today, I am thankful for Jesus- for His dying on the cross for my sins (and the rest of the world's) that I (we) could be forgiven and have eternal life with Him in Heaven, for His love, mercy, and grace when I deserve none, for His faithfulness even when I am unfaithful, for His strength and guidance throughout life when I am weak and worried, and for His perfect plan for my life (and your's, too).

I am a sinner saved by grace. I am no where near perfect and never will be, but I love The Lord and try my best to give Him my best and live a life the points others to Him. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that who I am and where I am today is because of God's direction on my life. Without Him I don't know who or where I'd be. I hope and pray you have a relationship with The Lord and have the same reassurance and hope that I do in Him. I'd be more than glad to share with you on how to have a relationship with Him if you don't have one; it's never too late to start one. He loves you, and so do I.

He has definitely blessed my family and me beyond measure, and I can't wait to share more about those blessings in the days to come.
